The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

The Good News:
I'm a college graduate...
I'm employed...
I'm young and wild and free...

The Bad News:
...I have loads of college loans.
...at an entry-level salary.
...nothing in real life is ever really free.

Here's the breakdown of my life post-grad:
Immediately after graduation I interned in NYC at a well known organization. After just one month of life in the Big Apple, I knew I belonged there. Soon I moved back home to, well, find a summer job and continue the job search while living rent free with my parents. Sound familiar? After months and months of tirelessly networking, filling out applications and interviewing, I was finally offered a job at my former internship. Hoorah!! Of course my parents were ecstatic...I would be earning a salary, paying off college loans, and all of my living expenses.

Not so fast...it took a lot of "calm family discussions" to finally convince my parents that I could live frugally, despite my 22 years of living a fairly comfortable life.

So here lies my quest, learn how to survive in NYC on an entry-level salary, without having to eat cereal every night. Should't be too hard, right?

Are you ready to join me on my journey to success? Hope your prepared for a few potholes in the road.
